Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Jade Ink Press ("we," "us," or "our") publishes this website at jadeinkpress.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or sign up to hear from us by email, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to visitors everywhere, and is written to meet the requirements of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Canada's anti-spam law (CASL), and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.

1. Information we collect

We collect very little information, and only what's needed to run the Site and send the emails you ask for:

We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or any other sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect more than the above.

2. How we use your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address to anyone, ever.

3. Email delivery (our email provider)

We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit), a third-party email service provider, to store subscriber emails and send our emails. When you sign up, your email address is stored on Kit's servers under our account. Kit acts as our data processor and has its own privacy policy governing how it safeguards data on our behalf. Because Kit is a U.S.-based company, your information may be processed in the United States; Kit maintains appropriate safeguards for international transfers of EU/UK personal data.

4. Cookies

The Site does not use marketing, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set a small number of strictly necessary technical cookies required to deliver the Site securely; these do not identify you personally and are not used for tracking.

5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or UK, our legal basis for emailing you is your consent — given when you complete a sign-up form and then confirm via the link we email you (double opt-in). You may withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing (see Section 7).

6. How long we keep your information

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you; Kit may retain a record that you unsubscribed (so we don't accidentally email you again), which is standard practice among email providers.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, unsubscribe directly from any email you receive from us, or contact us at the email address in Section 10 and we'll take care of it.

8. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their email address, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including relying on reputable providers (Cloudflare and Kit) that maintain their own industry-standard security practices. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we don't collect anything beyond your email address, which limits what's at risk.

10. Contact us

If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, email us at[email protected].

11. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site or remaining subscribed after a change means you accept the updated policy.
